'08 Overhead console

Hey guys.

Just bought an '08LE CC loaded minus DVD & Navi

In the back seat, overhead they have volume controls etc and it looks as though it is already set for a DVD player to be put in. Does anyone know if it is pre-wired, or would it have to be wired etc if I bought the factory unit?

Also, could I put in a different unit?

No it's not pre-wired. Some of the guys at Club Armada been trying to figure it out with no luck so far. A good thing is the AUX is now available from the rear controller (unlike before you could not access AUX from the rear). Now just plug your DVD player to the AUX input and you're good to go. You are better off aftermarket IMO.

So BBF, just to confirm what you have said above, the AUX would be used to provide audio to the factory radio, and the video output of the DVD player would still need to be inputted to one or more screens, right?

Also, any idea if the AUX can be tapped into internally, e.g., mount a DVD player in the glove compartment and tie into the AUX to provide audio through the factory stereo without plugging it into the external AUX jack?
