HU and sirius install question

I have a portable sirius unit that I am replacing with an in dash unit along with a new pioneer head unit.
I can run the antenna out the break light and all the way to the front, that's easy enough, my question is should I run it down the driver or passenger side? Which would be easier to get the cable behind the dash and come up behind the stereo?
Also, how do I go about removing the stock bezel so I can get access to the stereo? Just pry it off?
