P-Dizzle, or Tech12 Would know what would be better. From what Tech12 told me a ported box is the way to go though.

Re: need help on sub enclosures

It really depends on what time of music you listen to and what your budget is. For most people in the KC 12's are overkill unless you only have 1. Unfourtnatley due to the limited space under the seat it is hard to make a box big enough for 12's unless you do a seat lift.

Tech12volts is the resident box builder, he is a site sponsor and does some real quality work! Check out the recent post by P'dizzle and you can see one of his recent builds using Sundown subs. You wont find a box on ebay that is even worth the price of shipping (unless its a T12V box!) Most of those are premade junk. All of the boxes James builds will be for the type of music you like and the subs you plan on mounting in them.

I am building my own box.

Anyone have some measurements for me.... I am doing under rear seat behind the passenger from door to on top of hump. I am just going for the biggest I can put there and will do a seat lift if nessasary.

Re: need help on sub enclosures

You could save yourself a whole bunch of time and money by having Tech12 make the box for you. I would be willing to bet it would cost more in the long run for you to do it yourself than to just by his. Do a search for seat spacers, it has been done for a few sub setups on here. The search function is a marvelous feature!

Not enough room to do a ported enclosure in that space.
