I am sure this has been discussed a million times but the last 1/2 hour of searching has not yielded and results for me. On the attached picture, does piece number 18 pull out from piece number 19? In other words, can I remove piece number 18 without having to remove piece 19 and several other pieces of the dash? The only progress I can make after 1 hour of trying to to somewhat pull piece 19 out a little bit, but the bottom right hand corner gets stuck. It would be very nice if 18 just pulls right out. If it does, any hints on how to grip it to pull it out?
Thanks,
Zack
I can't open your attachment, can see it, but not make it larger.
IIRC, when I removed my deck, the plate snaps straight off. Then disconnect the wires, then remove the 3-4 screws and the deck will pull straight out. Seems like it was a tight fit and I had to wiggle it around just a bit.

Why is there never enough time to do it right the first time,
But always enough time to do it again?
still not clear on your needs, and the picture is an issue for me as well.
If you are trying to pull the factory HU out to replace it with an aftermarket. The faceplate has I believe 4 tabs holding it on. The you have to diconnect the wiring harness for each one. Then there are two screws holding the HU in place. Should be easy.

Thanks guys, I got it removed. Next question. There are about 5 plug ins on the back of the cd changer (not including the antenna) and my Nissan adapter only has two plug ins. Just plug those two in and leave the rest empty? Hope that makes sence. I am just installing an aftermarket cd/mp3 player.
Thanks,
Zack
Just plug in the ones that match the ones in the wiring adapter kit - they only fit one way so you can't mix them up. The other three connectors are for: steering wheel controls, satellite receiver, front panel connector. None of these are need for an aftermarket radio.
Excellent, got it all put in and it all works great. Thanks for the all the help guys. I was trying to make this harder than it actually was. I was able to change the radio out in my Dodge in like 10 minutes. Guess I am playing with the big boys now with the Nissan!
Thanks again
Zack

I also installed a aftermarket GPS system and i realized that i lost the airbag system and i can manual shift the transmission. Does anyone know how to resolve some of the issues. PLus i bet there are more things that are not working because of the GPS
