Where to find OEM DVD player/monitor?

Hey all, I just got my 2006 Titan the other day. I'd like to see where I can find the OE DVD player and over head monitor to install in my truck. I'd like to find a decent deal, also are the OE wires in place? Or I should ask, is there anything special I need to do once I acquire these items?

Re: Where to find OEM DVD player/monitor?

They show up on Ebay from time to time. I got the Myron & Davis kit from Tech12Volt and it works well. It's as OEM as you can get without going OEM.

You may not have the wiring kit from the DVD player to monitor already installed and probably don't have the DVD to radio harness either. My truck had the wiring already to the radio so all I had to do was splice some wires to it.

This thread chronicles my install - My Myron & Davis install

If it didn't come with it from the factory, it will not be pre wired. You can do better with after market for less money.

Ok, I would've thought that it would be a plug and play deal. I guess not. I'll do more research. I just wanted it to look OE and not aftermarket.

If it could've been done, I would've done it. Tech12volt's deal on the Myron & Davis package is the best price for the closest to OEM setup. GKSmith just recently finished his install with Video Game connects.

Is it possible to buy the factory harnesses to connect the OEM stuff? If it is does anyone know the part numbers?

Re: Where to find OEM DVD player/monitor?

You can. I had a posting (maybe to Pops) which had the part number. It's the cable that goes from the factory plug (near the shifter) and runs to the DVD player.

After doing the hookup myself, I'm glad I didn't spend the $85 for the harness. Radio shack carries some single pole pin connectors that you can use to make a wire that connects directly to the factory connector. A jumper connecter from a computer works to enable the DVD button on the radio.

Re: Where to find OEM DVD player/monitor?

been searching on here for answers to the dvd monitor stuff. I have the 6 cd changer, head unit says DVD/CD, and I have the rear buttons but flip down is empty. Is my head unit a dvd player and all I need is the monitor? Or is the DVD/CD button just to connect to a dvd player that I don't have?

Look in my signature for a link to lots of part numbers, I believe the harness PN is there also.

OK here's the PN

DVD harness (From HU to DVD player) 24016-7S202
DVD Roof harness 24167-7S261

Re: Where to find OEM DVD player/monitor?

So are you saying that it's not pre-wired? Is my head unit a dvd player or just a dvd/cd button that would activate a dvd player that I don't have? Like fog lamps, the wiring is right there behind the caps... know what I mean?
