I have searched the forums and have not found any information on fitting 3 way speakers in the titan. I have a set of 3 way rainbow audio speakers (two 6-1/2, two 3-1/2 I think, and two tweeters) that I want to put in the front of my titan when I do my system. I am trying to figure out how I am going to do it. I had them installed in my tundra with q-forms kick panels but nothing is made for the titan like that. Does anyone have any info that may help me out?

Thanks everyone
I love the rainbow audio speakers some good germen audio sh*t. just make some yourself or go to a good car audio shop that does custom stuff like that.
Titan is very hard to do a 3 way setup in. Using the stock kicks won't image right.
If you must do 3 ways your best bet it to fab your own kicks (or pay someone to do it) placement and aim on a 3 way system have to be just right or it can sound worse than 2 way setup in stock locations.
Also if you do a 3 way I suggest running active with some advance time alignment that will allow you to TA each driver independent.
Like Grunge said, its not easy in the Titan. There are a few people that have done it but not many. I've seen a few with the 6.5" driver in the door, the 3 in the kick and the tweeter in the a-pillar. This is the easiest way. I've also seen the 6.5" down in the door and the 3" or 4" mid drivers and tweeters in the a-pillar.
Sounds like this may be more difficult than I thought. I really like the way the Rainbow speakers sound so I guess I am going to have to figure something out. Does anyone have any or know where any pictures may be of titans with custom kicks or some pictures with the mid driver/tweeter on the column?
Also how do I run the system active. I seem to remember that means running them without the crossover directly to the amp, is that right? My pioneer headunit allows some time alignment adjustments, would this be sufficient? My plans were to either use the Arc Audio 4150 cxl amp for the front and run my diamond audio 6.5's in the rear door. I have an arc audio 12" that I was going to put in the rear under the seat and run it off an eclipse amp. All of these components were out of my old tundra and I wanted to stick with them so I could put in a system as inexpensive as possible.
Another option I have is a buddy of mine may be willing to trade my amps for his Audison 6 channel. This would make installation much easier.
The key to kick panels is you want to have less than 3 inches difference in path lengths. I try to keep it to 1.5 inches personally. This takes string, laser pointer and lots of patience. A proper imaging set of kicks range from 800 to 1600 dollars spending on how they are finished . But the final product and sound is way worth it. I have a set ahlf built for another customer. But I think we have decided to do the mids in the apillars instead.

I really like the idea of putting the mid driver and the tweeter in the a pillar. Are there any pictures anywhere of how something like that would look? I guess more specifically I am wondering how to mold them into the stock a pillar and make it all look uniform (texture, color). I have used fiberglass before when I molded a sub box into the spare tire well in my supra but I have never tried to mold onto something like a kick panel or a pillar. Would putting the a pillar all togeter with the pod and then covering it in fabric be the easiest way to do it?
Tech, any updates as to when the metra dash kit back orders will be filled for 08's?

Yeah covering the entire panel in cloth and glassing over it is key.
The 08 kits were in at Metra last friday. But they are already sold out. One company bought everyone they had. So I would imagine price is about to be very high. I managed to snag one.

Built my own set with great success in overall tonal accuracy. I ended up using the existing panel and built off it.
Overall, I probably have 10 hours of built time for a 3 way set of MTX Thunder AXE high end components.
Certainly worth it if you have the means. Will never go back to a 2 way set up...

Thanks for the picture Defiant. It definitely gives me some ideas. BTW I am with you on the advantages to a 3 way system. I absolutely loved the setup in my Tundra.
