Just remember if you have problem with this unit you have to send it back the company you bought it from. You can not send it back to KENWOOD. because they are not an authorized Kenwood Dealer. And when you have problems with the install in your Titan remember who you bought it from when you trying to find answers on the install.

Hey James, I had that question too but the rep that I talked to said that they were authorized dealers and that the 1 year Kenwood warranty would still apply. Add the three year warranty that I got and that's a total of 4 years being covered! They actually tried to warn me about shopping with non-authorized dealers on the net. I'll know more when I get everything tomorrow. You are right on the install, getting answers and help from you is a bonus. I find your prices to be pretty competitive. The warranty and my lack of patients just won out.

First my prices are not generally higher than others. My price may be higher than any of these internet companies that do not know a dvd from an 8 track player. Compare my prices to Crutchfield any day of the week and I am lower.I am a sponsor on the site which means I pay money to sell things on here. WIthout me and other vendors there will be no site. I also help out people everyday for free that have not bought a damn thing from me. Call these internet companies up and ask them how to bypass a Kenwood kvt712 so you watch the dvd without having the parking brake on and see what they say. Or better yet call them and ask them about a product you bought from someone else.

I do not mind price shopping at all. Do not compare just price because service and warranty are very important especially when buying something that cost 1200 dollars.

Agreed.. Warrranty and service are important. So is price. I'm not knocking you. A guy has to make money in order to stay in business.

Your original comment, before you edited it... "Thanks for all your support" struck me as rude.

So what if they didn't buy from you... No reason to talk smack to them because they wanted to save some dough. That's all I was trying to say.

Oh and if you base your business on Crutchfield's prices, you'll always win.

A good friend of mine is an Authorized Kenwood dealer. Your prices are in line with his pricing as far as the DNX8120 goes. But they are still higher than others I have seen.

The only reason I'm paying the extra $200.00 is because of service and warranty.

Oh and don't act as if this forum would die if you didn't exist. I've been running forums for years and know what it costs and takes to run them.

Trust me you let every sponsor on this forum leave and I promise you there will be no more Titantalk.com . I guarantee it. They are not running this forum to make friends. They are running it to make dollars . If you want me to prove it , I guarantee you I can make this thread go away if I really wanted it to.But I am not scared of competition and honestly I do not make enough on the kenwood 8120 to worry about a few missed sales on it. I prefer to sell enclosures . I build them with my own hands and I know there is no warranty problem with them. LOL

Also I challenge you to find cheaper Boston or Cdt audio prices by an authorized dealer.

You are new here so I'll go easy on you.

If you have a "friend" that has a shop then you should know better than anyone how hard it is for the little guys to compete with the internet. The internet places buy thousands of units at a time and people like James and your friend only buy a few. So because of this the pricing isn't the same. Most of these online retailers are selling them below what the small guys pay at cost! I'm sure that if you told your friend you were going to buy one from the internet rather than from him he'd be a little frustrated too!

James has been a supporting vendor for a long time and helped out thousands of people answering questions and giving them good deals on sub boxes and other audio stuff. He has also given away more than any other vendor on this site. It would be a shame to see him go. That is why I support him and most of the people who have ever bought from him will go back because his customer service and willingness to help you when you have questions is something you cant get from any online retailer.

Just any FYI, coming on here and starting trouble with so few posts isn't a good idea. People can get pretty defensive around here. We all just want to have a good time but attacking vendors doesn't go over well.

I've already spoken to him regarding my comments. I wasn't trying to bust his balls. I wasn't trying to attack him. And as I said to him, I plan on buying a few items from him myself.

It was a misunderstanding. It's the interweb.......

Thanks for not booting me.

Re: kenwood dnx8120

Another thing you all should know is there is a lot of money laundering within the car audio industry. Online, ebay and even in the brick and morter locations. (Mostly for drugs and porn.) There are many businesses selling products for exactly what they pay or less. And when you have 5 million dollars worth of buying power it isn't too hard to compete when your not trying to make money in the first place. I spent two years in court after unknowingly selling a business to money launderers. Not a lot of fun and I ended up losing just about everything so I will not be one to support the laundering.

Re: kenwood dnx8120

For those interested I Just got my DNX8120 in today! After all off of the good and bad that I heard about 6ave I have to say that at this point I am very impressed. The unit has the certified upgrade sticker and I was able to register the additional warranty online. Great overall experience and worth a consideration.
