I saw one installed in a 2008 Titan today. It was at a factory authorized dealer. Even had the flourescent "Factory Certified Upgrade" sticker on the box.

From what i was told . The first batch that shipped had a software problem and all of them had to be shipped back. This may be a straggler that did not get shipped back

Nope. Not a straggler. The sticker means that it was one that was recalled and fixed.

I'm getting mine installed this weekend or early next week. The one I saw last weekend was sweet. It was sooooo sweet I had to get one for myself.

I looked at this unit this past weekend at a local shop, i think i am just gonna get the DDX812. I dont really need the nav. Has anyone here had any experience with the DDX812?

I just wanted to pass along this deal that I found on the internet at 6ave.com this past weekend. After doing a lot of looking around I found a lot of mixed reviews about this site – a lot of bad and a lot of good. I decided to call and talked to one of the reps and I walked away with what I felt like was a really good deal. I spoke to one of the managers who assured me that these units have the Kenwood certified upgrades done with the stickers on the box. You can use it online or by calling one of their representatives and giving it to them on the phone. Another note is that they price match any online authorized dealer. I ordered on Friday night and should have everything tomorrow according to DHL. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that everything is on the up and up with this online retailer.

Just remember if you have problem with this unit you have to send it back the company you bought it from. You can not send it back to KENWOOD. because they are not an authorized Kenwood Dealer. And when you have problems with the install in your Titan remember who you bought it from when you trying to find answers on the install.
