amp problem

Alright so I was driving and all of a sudden my subs shut off. Then i heard alot of sparking. When i went to check it out, i saw that it was sparking like crazy where the ground was bolted down. Also, the amp will turn on, but the light will flash and all the subs will do is flex in and out, it sounds like a heartbeat. When I turn my truck on all the way, it goes alot faster. All the cables are fine, I've checked everything numerous times. I even regrounded the amp to 2 or 3 different spots and it did the same thing. Does anyone have any idea on what could be the problem?

Re: amp problem

If the problem is inside the amp, is it something I can fix, or will I have to send it back to the manufacturer? Also, what could have caused it to happen?

Re: amp problem

The sparking at the ground connection indicates the ground connection came loose. As it was bouncing between connecting and not connecting it created voltage spikes which likely took out critical electronic parts in the amp. In essence, the amp in its present condition makes a good door stop! If it is in warranty, get it repaired - otherwise get a new one, this one doesn't work.
