I think there was an FM tuner issue on the 04. Poor radio reception. I believe it was either a Panasonic or that the replacement was made by Panasonic.

I would have preferred NOT to have the RF system but the only way you can get captains chairs in a SE is to get that package. So far I'm not unhappy, works fine for me. The integrated Bluetooth is cool and the power output is fair.
Like the Bose I had in my old truck I will eventually pull this unit and go aftermarket but that will be awhile.
The amp is located near the firewall just above the brake pedal. It has two connectors plugged in - one white and one blue.
The "spec" is 35 watts per speaker times 10 speakers = 350 watts. However, the fuse is 20 amp. Given that most devices would be fused at approx. twice peak load the amp can not produce at max more than 120 watts. My ear says the RMS output would be 5 or 6 watts per channel plus 10 or so allotted to the woofer. The speakers are high efficiency 2 ohm and are rated at 35 watts max.
If the factory speakers are replaced with 4 ohm semi good quality speakers one will notice a definite flattening of volume control response ie, increase the volume to about half way and after that increasing the volume setting yields very little increase in sound output. Typical for an underpowered system.
Hey guys, New Titan Owner (04 LE CrewCab, loaded, Nav, Fosgate, everything) My questions is. I belive i am having problems with my audio. When i have the radio on every now and then it sounds as if the volume changes, like someone unplugged some speakers then after a few min. its back up again. This only happens with the radio. CD and IPod through AUX sound fine. I checked, and the rear entertainment system is truned off. This is weird because my father-in-law has a 07 Eclipse GT with the Fosgate system and his does the same thing.. I see some of you said there was a recall? But i recentlly had it in Nissan for the 100 point inspection, and the only recall was a seatbelt thing for the back...Any ideas on this??? I wish Nissan went with the Bose system, I also have a 03 Altima 3.5 SE with the Bose system and it just sounds awsome!!!!
There was a problem with the tuner on early build 04s, and I think there was a TSB for it. Use the site search, and I think all of the TSBs are posted somewhere here or at club titan.

If you got it, a truck brought it.--you think $100 fill-ups in the Titan hurt?? Try $1000 daily fill-ups in a rig!!

Well there was actually a recall on the 04 RF system. It is by the far the most horriable sounding of all the Rf system in the Titan. I have an o4 as well. ANd its bad . Upgrade just as soon as you can. If you need anything specific let me know
Where could I get information about this recall ???
