Some time last week the factory installed Sirius radio in my 07 LE stopped working.
On the LCD display all I see is "Acquiring Signal" when I tune to Sirius. I took it to the dealership for a service and they said they could find nothing wrong, which I am inclined not to believe. I also called Sirius to ensure that the subscription was still active.
I thought about sending an activiation signal to the radio once again, but there is a problem. I cant actually change the channel on the Sirius radio, so I cant get to 184, or even channel 1 to get the SID. So the radio is pretty much useless.
Has anyone seen a problem like this before?

One thing to try is to remove power from the receiver. It should be located under the dash just above the brake pedal. There is a white plug that provides power to the unit. Pull that plug and leave it out for 30 seconds or so, then plug it in. While you are there make sure the antenna connection is solid.
My XM radio has done this several times. The only thing I've found is if I insert the key and turn the truck on really quickly I have the issue. I as if turning the truck on somehow interrupts the HU intialization procedure.
Usually when this happens if I change to channel 0 to see my Radio ID it's blank. This seems to be a bootup problem - of course the dealer has never heard of this problem before.
Anyway, turning the truck off and removing the key then restarting it (slower) seems to resolve the issue.

If it was factory installed, Sirius should be able to look it up via you VIN number I think, also the ID might be on your window sticker from your truck. Also, since you have an account with them, it should be on the account, it is also linked to your phone number...give them a call they should be able to fix it.
This has happened on my wife's jeep and we had to have the signal resent, fixed it
I have problems constantly losing XM signal- I have a factory installed XM, crew cab 04 with sunroof. Antenna is on back window with a swivel hinge and does not go above roof line but about 1-2 inches - I think antenna is bad- any suggestions for a replacement and or new location
I had the same problem with mine when I initially installed it into my '07. It worked long enough for me to get it activated and use it for about 30 minutes. Then when I started the truck back up it just sat on "Acquiring". I had Sirius send the signal to the unit and that did not help anything. I then tried another antenna hoping it would be that since that was the easier piece to replace and that made no difference. The dealership gave me a replacement tuner as that was the only other piece to replace and that took care of the problem. In my case the guy at the Parts Dept at the dealership was very good to deal with as he got me the replacement parts with no hassle.
If this is on an SIR-PNR2 tuner then you are probably going to have issues at some point. I know I did with mine and I went through 3 of these types of tuners. They were all grounded properly, everything was as it should be but the boxes kept burning up, and blowing fuses. The SIR-PNR2 has been discontinued. However, the new updated tuner is FINALLY available. Mine has been on backorder since April, so the wait is finally over. Here is a link to where I bought mine from. It really is a good deal too. In fact I bought all of my stuff from these guys. They will treat ya right, and the prices are some of the best I have seen.
