Nissan DVD screen

I just got my Titan on Saturday and was thinking about adding the DVD for the kids in the back. The overhead console is set up for it and it has the controls in the back of the console. Can any other DVD's be used. I may have a chance at getting a good deal on the Actual Nissan DVD. I was not sure what my options are.

thanks
Jeff

Re: Nissan DVD screen

Your very best bet is to contact Tech12volts for his Myron & Davis package. If your Titan is an '08, you may want to ask him or look into a PAC audio converter. If it's an '04-'07, we can help you with a factory like install. Mine's an '05 and my Myron & Davis looks and functions identical to the OEM one, the local A/V shops were really impressed.

Pops
Thanks for the information. I have a lot to learn about my new truck. There are so many features to learn about. I took delivery of two vehicles at the same time with my wife and two kids (3 and almost 5) and were there almost 7 hours with them. It made for a very long Saturday.

Re: Nissan DVD screen

Hi.
I'm hoping you can help me.
I just bought a 2007 titan Le with the upgraded sound system (factory ) but I dont' have the DVD screen.
I notice that the cd player has a DVD button.
Do yo mean to tell me that I could literally install an after market "lcd screen" up top where Nissan puts their factory screen?
That would mean that the factory "deck" has a video output..
Can it really be as simple as running a video cord from the deck to the "new after market lcd screen" ?

please advise

You are correct in assuming that it cant be as easy as that, because it isn't. If you dont have the factory drop down DVD screen then you will have to get one installed. The factory one is outrageously expensive...as the previous poster stated get with tech12volt and look into the myron and davis unit. As nice (or better) than the factory one and much easier on the wallet.

I can tell you that's EXACTLY what I did. It wasn't easy but it wasn't hard either and it is well worth all the work and effort. Tech12volt has the best deal I've seen on a setup just like mine but the one he offers has a better screen.
