Hi there, im having some troubles with figuring out how to wire my amp to my stock radio. I bought an LOC but im not sure how to wire it. I see it has male rca plugs so i assume it plugs directly into the amp and i have to either splice it with speaker wires that are near by or splice longer cables to run it all the way to the radio.
Ive done tons of searching on this site but i feel as if im missing something. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Including wire routing or any other tips on installing a system. Im completely new to all of this.
You have the basic idea. You wire the left and right speaker wires to the LOC and the RCAs on the LOC go to the amp. The leftover wire on your LOC goes to a chassis ground. The amp is wired to sub.

I removed the stock sub under the drivers seat. I mounted the LOC to the floor air duct. I then connected my LOC to the 4 wires that used to connect to the stock sub. However, my LOC has two female RCA ends, unlike yours that has 2 male ends. I ran the RCA cables to the back wall of the cab where the amp is mounted. Here are some pics:
Ok I'm a little confused here... Between you and villim I dont know whats right?
You can do it behind the head unit but you're still tapping into speaker wires there and not any other wires. Most people do it with the rear speakers wires so that they don't have to run a long RCA cable
