Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 or BFG Long Train Tours?

I have a debate on what to get. I love the look of the Hankooks and I've heard great things about them as well. I've had a set of BFG on my explorer and they were great. It's just I don't know which one to go with. Sam's Club is having a $70 rebate on BFG, but I'm planning on going to Discount Tire for the price match. I just got off the phone with a guy that works there and I feel really comfortable going with their business than with Sams. These are the estimated prices he gave me

BFG Long Trail T/A Tour - 658.09
Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 - 748.00

Is the Hankook worth the extra hundred bucks?

Note: Well, with a little research, I did find the Hankooks $20 cheaper than what they are on Discount Tire Direct

Is there a difference in 'AT' and 'ATM'? Because, I found another lower price...

Hankook DynaPro AT RF10

Re: Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 or BFG Long Train Tours?

The BFG Long Trail T/A Tour is an alleged all season tire. I know a guy with an F150 that was originally equipped with them. They completely suck in deep snow but are nice highway tires and have decent tread life. This is not an off road tire. This is a P rated tire and is not available in an LT load rating.

The Hankook is an AT tire that does well in deep snow. You can also get them in heavier, more expensive LT rated versions in both 17" and 18" sizes for heavier load capacity. I have the 17" LT version and like them. Your link is to the P rated tire.

The Hankook RF10 is a great tire for the money and we will price match anyone that has a lowered delivered price (unit price + shipping). Let us know if we can help.

I've decided to order the Hankook's from Discount Tire. Crossing my fingers that they will come in today since I ordered them Wednesday. Thank you all for the input.

Re: Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 or BFG Long Train Tours?

We have sold tons of the AT/M's and have excellent feedback so far. It is a bit more aggressive than the BFG which is why they don't have the 60,000 mile warranty but guys are getting awesome mileage on them. We have a lot of guys who have been running BFG A/T's for a long time and switching to the Hankook AT/M's or M/T's because of the difference in price and they are getting the same or better performance. Hankook is one of my top choices and one of our best sellers. Hope you have good look with them

Yep, i've had them on for about a week now. So far, so good. Goes through rain puddles really well, unlike the factory Goodyears. Discount Tire really do put their customers first, I will be sure from now on to go nowhere but Discount. You walk in and walk out with a hand shake and feel really confident with their work. Thumps waaay up!

Love them so far. Great handling. Did you do the paint mod for your wheels? I like it.

Re: Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 or BFG Long Train Tours?

I used flat black engine enamel i love it but the only down is brake dust, they take a bit to clean they arent the cleanist there but ive had them painted for about 10 months now holding up perfectly fine, just waiting for these pads to go and get someting with less dust, if i where to change anything id try to use more of a mix cause the dirt and especially dust gets in the paint and just sucks cleaning
