Talking What yall think?

About to replace the the worthless Rugged Terrains on my '06 4x4 OR. Has a leveling kit(yes you guys were right!) Looking at either the BFG Mud terrain KM2 or the **** Cepek mud country. I know it seems that the 33x12.50x17 will fit, but is it too wide and cause some sidewall flex? If thats the case ill prob just run the 285/70/17 again.

Re: What yall think?

Cause side wall flex? Low air pressure causes that. Are you worried about the tire being to wide for the rim?

Re: What yall think?

Yes, Stock wheels are too narrow for a 33x12.50R17. Take a look at the 295/70R17 size. These would fit great on your truck and they are approved for your stock 7.5" wide wheels. The New Nitto Trail Grappler was just released in this size. 295/70R17 tires - Shipping is FREE

Re: What yall think?

The tire will flex a lot more with a narrow wheel. But anyway, that tire does look pretty tasty. Can't believe these BFG's are this wore out at 22k miles!

uuummm... believe it... I don't know what the deal is w/ BFG's, but I ate all four of mine up in 2006 within the first 15k, with religious rotations every 5k miles... took them back to where I purchased them and I was given half of original purchase price towards a new set of Nitto Tarra Grappler A/T's, which lasted over 40k... however others have the BFG's and they go above and beyond their expectations too, so I don't know... my quick wear could be from my aggressive driving style, but no decent off road tires should wear out that quickly... I'm currently running PC Extreme M/T's (got a great price last spring) and they are running great with over 75% tread still after 15k+, but will probably go back to A/T's by Nitto or Toyo after I wear these down...

Re: What yall think?

I know there are quite a few people running 35/12.50/17's and 18's with stock rims. Is that a no no?

Re: What yall think?

i run 34"s on stock rims, no problems so far. 8.5" rim width is recommended on the tires i have now, while stock is 8" wide.
