17" Offroad Rims on a 2009 Titan

I've heard that 17" rims may not fit on 08+ Titans because of the larger brakes. Has anyone fit 17" offroad rims on their newer Titan? Any problems with it? Thanks

You've heard correctly. Some guys have upgraded to the 08 brakes with the 17" OR Rims and have reported to have about a 1/4" of clearance. I'm not sure what's up with the 09's.

So are you saying they will fit or that the brakes are a 1/4" too big? I would really like to go with the 17" wheel, tires are so much cheaper and much bigger selection.

on pre 08 models that have upgraded to the 08 brake kits are reporting a 1/4" clearance around the 17" OR wheel.

I haven't done this first hand but the reading and research has lead me to this conclusion.

I have the 17" OR wheels and a set of 20's. I'm trying to find a happy medium for my application when it's time to upgrade.

I've seen certain 17" aftermarket wheels clear the brakes on the 08+ but would love it if the stock Off Road wheels would work as well. I still kicking myself in the *** for not picking up a pair that were FS locally a couple months ago for $250.

Yeah i'd love to "upgrade" to 17's myself due to much cheaper tires and larger selection. The tires I want are $60 A PIECE cheaper in 17" than my 18". I really doubt they would clear though because my stock 18's are VERY close to the brakes.

If your really ambitious you could grind down the Calipers to make them fit.
