Adjustable camber bolts

I just purchased the adjustable camber bolt kit from PRG. I was wondering if anyone had any detailed intrustions on install.

I do NOT plan on trying to align the vehicle myself, but if I can save 2+ hours of shop time on these bolts that would be great. Greg at PRG said if you can install the leveling kit, which I did, this shouldn't be a problem. I just have no idea where to start on these bolts. Anyone?

Re: Adjustable camber bolts

Look where the lower a-arm connects to the truck. There is a gold bolt, washer and nut. There are 2 of each on each side of the truck. Thats where they go. Remove the old replace with the new in the same fashion (direction). Just did some last week. Piece of cake.

Re: Adjustable camber bolts

Keep in mind of one thing. It may not be as simple as taking them out and putting new ones in. If your existing bolts are somewhat rusted, getting them out will not be easy. If they are rusted in, you are looking at hammering them out (do not hit a bunch, you will bend the bolt) or they could maybe be pressed out by a hand held press.

If they are really rusted, you are cutting the a-arms off with a sawzall and replacing them.

I see you are in Wisconsin, so you are exposed to salty roads in the winter. Depending on the age of your truck, you may have some rust build up. I also see that you are a 2005, so, good luck man. I am an 06 and my bolts were practically welded fast by rust.

If they are not rusted, piece of cake

Thanks,

Zack

Re: Adjustable camber bolts

I'm not expecting too much rust. We just did the leveling kit and everything came apart really nice.
The truck is an 05, but I only have 28K on it. At least I am hoping everything will go well.
Thanks for all the advice.
