6inch lift need help with tires and rims

hey guys i've decided to go with the lift kit. i was gonna get 20x9 with a 35-12.50 but i'm thinking about going with a 20x10. i know it depends on the offset but would the 20x10's clear with no rubbing? also who's got tire recommendations

What kind of lift are you getting? For example the CST bracket lifts and their 2wd 4" spindle lifts that some use with leveling kits, or coilovers to get 6", and the Rough Country UCA's can rub with wide tires at stock backspacing, so they need to be pushed out more, with smaller backspacings, which will cause rubbing at the pinch weld, Wider rims also cause the pinch weld rubbing, and 10" on a 6" lift will rub unless you want to run really short - really skinny tires.

My friend had pinch weld rubbing with 35x12.5 M/T tires on 9" width rims with 4.5" backspacing, on his 4x4 Titan with a Pro Comp stage 1 lift. Same setup with a 4" spindle lift on a 2wd, plus 2" spacer would rub worse, because bracket lifts like the PC stage 1, move the wheels forward by an inch, according to PRG.

They will fit... thats what I have 20x10 but the shop will have to do a little trimming in the wheel well....as for tires I would recommend the 35x12.5 procomp xtreme M/T's they are very aggressive looking and their tire wear life is pretty long

SOLD2008 Titan 4x4 SE, 6" procomp stage 2 lift (coil-overs and MX6 ajustable shocks), PRG Drive Shaft Spacer, 35" Procomp xtreme M/T tires, 20x10 Black Rockstars, volant cool air intake, JBA Pipes to a Dynomax Bullet Dumped w/ resonated tip, headlight mod, 2 12" Kenwood subs in tech12volt box, HID 8000k lights HI/LOW, blacked out.

Definitely will rub with the 10" width rims at the pinch weld. TC says factory BS is o.k. for a 35, so if you found a 9" rim with 5.5" backspacing it should clear the knuckle, and probably not rub at the pinch weld. But if you add UCA later and get the RC ones, you'd be better off getting 5" backspacing on the rims. The 10s will stick out too much unless, you get the 5.5" backspacing, or you get coilovers for additional lift, like a stage 2 kits come with, or the higher quality aftermarket coilovers like PRG offers.

Re: 6inch lift need help with tires and rims

Probably not ... RC says factory BS, (which is 5.5"), so you might end up with the tread blocks at the shoulder rubbing the RC steering knuckle. 5.5" or smaller BS should work. Hopefully, if you already ordered them, they were being conservative.
