24" rim question

I am going to be buying my TItan VERY shortly and want to put 24" rims on it. The question I have; if i get 24's to my knowledge the biggest low pro tire on the market is a 30 series(305/30/24) tire. Does anyone else know if there is a 35 or maybe a 40 series tire out there. The reason is because I am goin to get the big tow package and from time to time I will be towing my neighbors race car on his trailor to the track. I dont want to get a 30 series tire because I think with all the weight I might bend my rims or damage them possibly. Please help me as I will be buy the rims soon. If 24's are too big then I will go 22's because I know they make a 40 and 45 series tire for that size of rim. Thanks in advance.

You'll probably need a front end leveling kit to run a 305 tire in 35 or 40 ratio, as they are close to 12" wide. A 305/40/24 is 33.6"x12", pretty tough fit for stock height. I'd also be wary of towing with that big of rim, even 22"s.

do you know if they possibly make a 40 series tire for 24" rims? Also what do you think about towing with that big of rim? Did the truck seem to slow down a bit after putting the rims on?

Those rims are sweet, what brand are they? Did you need to do anyhting special to use the 305 tire? How much did you pay for rims and tires?

around 4 grand for rims / tires / install

nothing special was needed to put them on. i wanted to get bigger tires but i don't think 305/40 is available for 24s. according to the like 30 people i spoke to 305/35 is the biggest that will fit unless modifications are made.

Congrats reveille_83,
Those look great on your XE.
I'd love to have those on mine except I want mine to sit up a little higher so I need the upcoming Rancho Coil Overs and a smaller diameter wheel(chrome of course).

VCT makes a wheel called the Scarface that is identical. I am pretty sure that is it.

Re: 24" rim question

if you're going to tow I'd stay away from 24's.

I towed my 12x6 enclosed dual axle trailer full of moving stuff and I had to put more air in the rears or tires would be too low. I had 305/45/22s. I can imagine on 24's with the lower profile. Also they do look good but they are going to be more susceptible to bending.
