Direct answer needed about BFG's

I have searched and cannot find a direct answer to this question.

I have the 2 1/2" Daystar lift and would like to fit the largest possible BFG All Terrain tires on my LE.

What is the largest sized tire I can get away with????

Anybody with direct knowledge or experience in this would be a great help.

I think a 315 is as big as you can go with that lift

33's are what come stock, so that's obvious. Wheel width and tire width are what make the difference. I think you'd have a hard time fitting a 35x12.50 tire on a Titan without 5" of lift. Same goes for the 33x12.50, I think it will rub at stock height, hence the 2.5" coil spacers. There was even one memember who has the CST lift and his 35x12.50R17's rubbed on a 10" wheel and had to install the 1" coil spacer.

They all dont come with 33s. My tires were the same size as my 31s on my other truck. When I ordered the tires 285 70 17 messured at 32.8 which is equal to a 33.

All except for the XE. The SE and LE have 32.6" and the off road equipped come with 33.0" The topic starter stated he has an LE, so that is what I was refering to.

Sammy,
This might be a redundant question.
Would the 325/60-18's that BillQaudio used on his truck with Daystar lift on 8.5" American Racing wheels fit the SE/LE's stock wheels(8") once Rancho coil overs are available(2-3" adjustable)?
I love the tires, but don't want to get rid of stock wheels if they fit.

Dallas,

The LT325/60 R18 Nitto Terra Grapplers have an approved rim measuring width between 9.5"-10.5". Are you sure that is the correct tire and wheel combo that bill has? Either way, the oem wheels are 8" wide, it might be cutting it close. If it were a 15" wheel, I'd say it would work fine. Things get a bit different with these 18"+ wheels.

Bill didn't say in his post, but this is where I found his wheel's size:
(he did say his tire size and brand was the Nitto's 325/60-18).

http://www.americanracing.com/wheels...ated&section=S

part no. size offset backside bolt circle
615-88536 18x8.5 28 5 7/8 6x135
615-88575 18x8.5 18 5 7/16 5x5 1/2
615-88538 18x8.5 18 5 7/8 6x5 1/2
615-88535 18x8.5 18 5 7/16 5x135

Anyway, it was just a thought.
Thanks again for your response.

Well it might work, I've gone wider than the tire manufacturer's specs before, but that was on a 15" tall wheel. It might cause excessive side wall stress to the tire if you put it on the 8" wide oem rims or might cause the tire to deform in the middle. I don't know, as I'm no expert. Personally I'm waiting on Nitto to release the LT295/70 R17 and run it on a 17x8 wheel with a 3" spindle lift (if one ever comes out.)
