TPMS Light flashing

So apperantly I have a problem with my TPMS. Light flashes for 1 minute then remains illuminated and my pressure is good in all 4.

Any idea what I'm in for when I take it in to have the system serviced?

Idk but im ready to take my gauges apart and smash the little bulb. That SHOULD be a feature you should be able to turn off and on at the dealer. I can track my own tire pressure just fine.

Re: TPMS Light flashing

1 or more of your sensors aren't communicating with the system.
V12 what's going on with your system? I only had a problem with mine when I go up North in the winter time otherwise the system has save my butt a few times due to the tires going flat. My light went off last week and it worked perfectly because I had a 2 tires that had low air pressure & that's with my new rims and tires.

Totally agree. I don't even have my sensors on anymore. My digital gauge works better

Re: TPMS Light flashing

does our spare have a sensor? I saw my neighbor filling the spare on his new 4runner because that set his sensor light off... In the mean time I have played with the pressures and cant get the damn light to shut off. I have learned to ignore it.

No our spares have rubber valve stems so that ='s no sensors.

Re: TPMS Light flashing

The blinking means one or more sensors is not working, or not communicating as stated. I've had mine reset at discount tire. You should not have to play with the pressure as long as its within spec, it should not light up. The specs can be found in the manual. If you don't have it I can post the pages tomorrow.

Re: TPMS Light flashing

one of your sensor's battery is bad, mine did the same thing. I took my truck to the dealer and found it was my rear left tire. Lucky for me I know the service rep and mechanic and he gave me a new FREE sensor. I had it replaced at Discount Tire for free too!!!! but they couldn't reset it so the dealer did it for me at no charge.

Re: TPMS Light flashing

This happens to me every winter. Gets cold out and especially when its cold and rainy/snowing. I'm not the only person this is happening to in the cold. My next set of tires or rims, they are coming off and one in the spare only.
Govt made this a mandate for the auto industry all because people are too lazy to check the tires on their Ford Explores.

Re: TPMS Light flashing

It could be the battery in the sensor. But they are supposed to last at least 10 years. I had one of mine flake out like that. I did the relearn and it has been fine ever since. So try the easy solution first: do the relearn.

Re: TPMS Light flashing

Where can I find the relearn?
It just happened while I was driving and my pressure is OK.
I did have tires put on my truck in september ****ers never mentioned the batteries in the sensors but did charge like 10.00 to do something with them. I don't have a receipt cause it went in with the rebate I got on them.
I assumed they were good for a few more years.
What will a diagnostic run me on average?

How To: TPMS Relearn - Nissan Titan Forum: Club Titan Forums
Look to the end of the thread and you'll see what pressures to set your tire at. Do the paperclip method of initiating the relearn.

Re: TPMS Light flashing

Strange thing happened to me this morning. I replaced my battery, and within a couple hours I got a TPMS fault light.. solid blink for 1 minute. Dealer is telling me I have a bad sensor. Doesn't make sense, the tires and sensors are from a 2010. Could swapping the battery cause something to happen?
