What's the largest tire for stocker?

I got the off-road package wheels....the 17" X 7.5". I want to put 35" tires on there, but I don't know if they'll fit on the rim. BTW I don't want really wide tires. 305's maximum. Also, I'm raising it a little and aren't worried about rubbing.

315/70/17 is the biggest i have seen and it's almost a 35" tire (34.36), but the suggested rim width is at least 8.5". you might want to check with a tire expert.

if you guys are referring to me, i meant the biggest TIRE made in 17s. sorry, i did not mean seeing them installed on titan stockers. so if you wanted something to fit by the books, you will probably end up with the oem offroad tires.

That BFG A/T 315/70-17 WILL NOT fit a stock Titan, or even a Daystar/Rough Country-leveled Titan. That tire will rub on a Titan lifted 8" if it is on a 9" or 10" wide wheel. The only way (so far) to get that tire to fit is to put CST's 8" lift on a 2WD, or CST's 7" lift on a 4WD. Bulletproof also has a 12" lift, but it will fit 37" tires I believe. Believe me, I know this because my 35" tires on 18x9.5 wheels are going to require me to cut my front valances a little bit even with the CST 8" lift.

As far as the BFG A/T goes, the 285/70-17 may not even fit without a little rubbing at full lock. It has a very square tread edge, and is known to sometimes rub a little where other "equal sized" tires don't.

Hey,

I've seen a 305/70R17 Goodyear MT/R mounted on a 17x8.5" (+25mm offset). Just to check clearance the truck was driven around very slowly, there was rubbing in the front on the plastic wheel well liner. The rubbing occured at the rear bottom portion of the liner, it looks like a little triming of the liner and possibly a small portion of the pinch weld (.25" or so) behind the liner might be all it takes to run that size tire. This interference was found just during very low speed driving so more triming might be necessary for off-roading where the wheel accelerations are pretty high.
This Titan had a front lift of about 1.5".

And the 285/70R17 tire is the largest that will mount up to a 7.5" rim, a 8.5" rim will accept up to a 37x12.5 tire.

I just performed a 2" lift in front and 2" lift in back I am running 325/65/18 on stock rim. While it is not recommended I have no problems. I had to trim the inside pinch weld on the fender and trim a little of the mud guard but that was it. u wouldn't know it if i hadn't told you.

There is a Good Year Wrangler MT/R 305x70 that will fit the stock wheels but experts say that the tire will wear very fast on the center because of the smaller wheel diameter... Anyone tried that tire yet?

THX in advance...
