Hello Titan fans! I've have read a lot of info on this site on & off for years and finally posting. My Smoke '07 Titan LE 4 x 4 Off Road Pkg. all stock only has 27k on it and it is time to replace the Rugged Terrains. Never was too fond of them.
So what tires are you guys putting on them these days? I do some mild off roading here in AZ and like a rugged design etc.
Re: 2007 4 x 4 Off Road Pkg. Titan Needs New Tires

Another popular tire here is the Goodyear DuraTrac. I ran them in the stockish 32.8" LT285/70R17D. They were great tires and lighter than any LT tire, (for a given size that I know of), and look like a M/T but are an A/T. They are supposed to be excellent in the snow too. Mine hydroplaned easier than other tires I've run, but other than that, I really liked them. [Haven't heard of anyone else complaining about the hydoplaning though]. They handled great in curves on both wet and dry roads.
Re: 2007 4 x 4 Off Road Pkg. Titan Needs New Tires
Well if you did the leveling kit you could probably run the 285/75-17 (33.9") with minor trimming and/or possibly the pwm, your stockers are 32.8". The at2's are pretty limited when it comes to 17's. The only sizes larger than the 285/70-17 are the 285/75-17's and a 35x12.5x17. If you wanted to do alot of trimming you could run the 35's with a leveling kit, but if you do any offroading I would suggest it because at full flex you will most likely start rubbing. Like norcal said the dura trac's are a very popular tire also. The info I just gave you is for the at2's i didn't look up the duratracs.

Stock you can probably do a LT295/70R17 in an A/T, on the stock wheels, with maybe front mudguard removal, and possible heat reshape of the fender liners.
Leveled 34" LT305/70R17 on the OR rims with maybe front mudguard removal, and possible heat reshape of the fender liners.
Leveled a 34.5" LT315/70R17 on the OR rims with definite front mudguard removal, and heat reshape of the fender liners, plus the pinch weld mod in most cases. See the last link in my sig.
My Titan is stock and I have the Michelin ltx AT2 LT285/70/r17 load range D and they are the best tires I have ever owned. They are my first set of michelins and I will always get them from here on out. They are great for the way I off road and are great for pulling my toy hauler.

What is the difference between the 50k or 65k warranties tires? I added a link for comparison. BTW I'm in Mesa. I'll probably check out Fletcher's & Robert's Tire is by me also and they both handle Toyo. I assume one is LT and the other P.
Re: 2007 4 x 4 Off Road Pkg. Titan Needs New Tires
I have the exact same truck as you and just swapped out all four tires as well... I went with the BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KOs. I went a tiny bit bigger than stock, 275/70/18. They look bada$$! The best looking non-mudder, in my opinion. I hear they have great wear resistance as well. Good luck either way!
I got mine from fletchers they gave me the best price. The difference in warranties is the p rated tires have the 65k warranty and the lt's have the 50k warranty. Also if you want the aggressive look like mine make sure the ones you go with have the extreme sidewall design. Some of them don't. I am pretty sure the tires that have 17/32 tread depth have the extreme sidewall

Re: 2007 4 x 4 Off Road Pkg. Titan Needs New Tires
Thanks for the replies guys! I'll be shopping all this week and want to have them installed on Friday. Taking a trip up to Globe, AZ on Saturday. One of my favorite destinations. Maybe I'll post some pix of my Titan at Devil's Canyon when I return.
A nice way to break in the tire! Cheers!
The only problem that I might have is getting them in time because of the Holiday. Otherwise I'll be taking my Sonata instead.

Re: 2007 4 x 4 Off Road Pkg. Titan Needs New Tires
at2s with sipeing in a 275/75/18 is $1500. i only stopped at one place, but they also told me they wont be making the tire in a 33/12.50/18. thats what i wanted, but i will have to live with the 11" wide.
If you do get the at2s, let us know what you paid and where you got them. Im going to do a search now fo rthe best price.
