Brake Pros Big Brake Kit

I just found this kit. Looks like a good alternative to $3500 for stoptech's. This kit is $1395.00 from Stillen.

It specifies 18" OEM wheels. So it won't work with the 17" OR wheels?

Good question. I don't know any info on it. I just saw it and thought I'd post it. Sorry.

Called Wade at Stillen, kit includes Rotors (slotted and drilled, etc), oversize Caliper (Red or Blk), Stainless Lines, Pads (which cost $175.00 to replace down the road), the rotor is 14", it is an AP Racing Caliper. They are available to ship in two weeks, total cost is $1,395.00 plus seventy for shipping. No tax if you are outside of CA.

Stillen has R&D'd the kit for close to ten months, on the track and in the city (same truck). This is a front only kit. They will have slotted and drilled rears in approx. 3 months.

I would like to purchase in Mid Dec. I am on my second rotor job at 10,000 miles and even though the dealer is super good about it and apologetic I do not want to keep going into service and wasting their time and mine for the same thing. And man, do those rotors and calipers look damn cool & BIG. Anyway, just thought I would pass it on.

Feel free to deposit into my paypal account (any denomination is fine) if you would like me to get them sooner, just PM me for my email address. Cheers.

yup, interested to see if it fits 17s. that file says the rotor diameter is 14"...not much more room left after you add the caliper.

Question is can the fancy rotors be turned if they warp????? or are they throw away after the race is over kind???? never heard of anyone turning the drilled and slotted rotors down......will break the bit I hear????....I'd wait and see if Nissan starts offering it for warranty work....and makes the next TSB require this upgrade...that would be..sweet!

I doubt they can be turned. However, you can replace just the outside part because they are 2-piece rotors. I'm sure it's still pricey though.

Ok more info,

The Rotor is in fact a two piece design consisting of a 'Hat' and the Rotor itself. Stillen does not recommend 'turning' the rotor, however, they did not come out and say that it could npot be done.

To replace just the Stillen rotor in case - for some reason it was damaged or warped - the cost per rotor is $385.00. This is for the 14" - two piston kit for stock OEM 18" wheels.

They are also offering a 15" rotor with a 6 piston kit for all those with the aftermarket larger diameter wheel. I asked if just the rotors will work with the stock calipers and they advised that they will - no problem at all.

So this Dec. I may go for the front kit and just get the rear rotors as most of the stopping is done with the fronts anyway right???

Actually, how much stopping of our trucks is done with the front - maybe 80% or is that too high?
