Brake Pads..Who Makes?

I noticed that AC Delco has replacement pads for our trucks. I'm wondering if this will cure the terrible brake dust problem. Does anyone know who makes Nissan's pads? I would hate to find out that AC Delco does.

Hey duffer18,
Will Carbotech pads rid the brake dust, and will it wear the rotors more than normal. I've been looking at Brake Dust Covers by Rally.

There are also Posiquiet Severe Duty pads. I have received reviews from customers whom have said that there is significantly less dust and last twice as long.

Thank you! He he, while the comment may seem like we have an opinion, we really don't. It's there to protect us from being in certain situations.

Pad listings are getting more numerous but then you find they are not necessarly available - yet. Also rear pads are hard to come so you have to check. Here's what I found listings on so far

Carbotech Bobcats
Stillin Metal .. somethings
Napa
Raybestos
EBC
Axxis
Akebono

What I really wish we knew what's on there now. I'm trying a set of EBC SUV/Truck series 7000 front and 6000 rears. Should have them next week sometime-hopefully.

I don't really give a hoot about dust or pad life. For me, judder prevention, good initial bite and progressive feel is most important. Titan pads are easy to change so if I don't like em' I'll chuck em and try something else.

It always take a little big of time for some aftermarket companies to develop pads for a certain shape. This is especially true when the pad shapes are new such as in the Titan. In order to help you choose the best pad for you, you would have to consider the following:
  • Price
  • dust
  • noise
  • type/style of driving
  • rotor/pad life
  • cold/hot stopping performance

Of those pick which is the most important to you. Then you can start narrowing down which pads will work, and which pads won't.

I simply want to rid the Brake Dust and extend the life of the front rotors. I put whats called "corvette cuts" into my OEM pads and the rotors seem to be lasting longer and run cooler.

I like those posi quite too by centricparts. But most of the country can't get them no large part stores carry them. There Rotors are even better then their pads stone ground finish with a black powered coat. Really nice. That's what's going to go on my truck after Nissan done playing with brakes. If you look at the new brake kit from Nissan they sure do look like the brake parts from Centric.
