20" wheel questions ???

I just picked up my '05 smoke LE CC 4x4 last weekend and am looking at putting wheels and tires on it in the near future. I am planning on going with the 305/55R20 Toyo on either a 20x9 or 20x8.5 rim (after putting on PrerunnerGreg's Kit). So far, I've narrowed it down to either the Boss 315 or MB Motoring Express. But, I'm having some second thoughts about the chrome finish. Don't get me wrong, I like the look of chrome 20's, but I am a little worried about it being a little too flashy (especially at work). I love this wheel and tire size and thought that if I could find another finish (like gunmetal) it would go nicely with the smoke color. I've found a lot of these type finishes for sport compacts, but their doesn't seem to be many for trucks/suvs. Also, I really like the straight six-spoke look. If anybody has any recommendations, they would be greatly appreciated. If my options are limited, I may just go with chrome and let people deal with the bling. If I do stick with chrome, does anybody know off other wheels that have the straight six-spoke look like the MB Motoring Express?

I just ordered wheels from discount tire. They are brand new and are not even in stock yet. They are MB Offroad Gunner 6. They are available with an anthracite center and machined lip, all machined or chrome. I ordered the anthracite. They don't have any pictures on the site yet but the sales guy sent me an email of the machined Gunner 8 wheel. He said they are the same thing but 6 spoke and the Anthracite is a dark gray/gunmetal color. I am gonna take the chance and see how it goes. They sound awesome! Also, they are 20x8.5 with a 25ET, they should fit but I may need a small spacer, won't know till they get here. They don't really list them as a fitment for the Titan but if people can fit 325's on the stock wheels then there should be plenty of room for the 305's on this wheel. Anyway, here's the pic. I was looking for the same thing as you and this was all I could come up with. Hope that helps.

I knew I wasn't the only one looking for something like this. Sounds like a good looking wheel. Keep us posted on how they work out and post a few pics when they come in. Thanks.

The only bad thing about a machined wheel is that any kind of cleaner whill mess them up. They dont have a clear coat on them. If a dog likes the look off your wheel and wants to make his mark on them That wheel is runied. Either one it is the acid in it . It will turn the wheel white.

I've owned many machined wheels and most were clear coated and those that weren't I had no problems with??

I like the chrome. I don't feel like it looks to bling bling. If you get 22 or 24 inch rims it starts to look a lot more bling. One recomendation I have is to buy 275/55/20 tires. It willl keep the tread inside the fender and stop a lot of mud and dirt from splashing up all over the place.

Good looking rims SmokedTitan. What are those? I might consider the 275/55r20 if I had a 2 wheel drive. I just like the look of a leveled 4x4 and the 305/55r20. I don't think I am going to have too much problem throwing mud and dirt if I stick with a 8.5" rim and 5" backspacing. I've ask a few guys on this site that are running this setup the same question and none of them mentioned any problems.

Don't forget there's always the Bushwacker fender flares.

Yeah it should keep the sides much cleaner. Do a search and pm a couple of the people that have put them on. I believe everyone has been happy with them. And as far as I know Bushwacker only makes one of there styles for the Titan. It's the "extend-a-fender" model.

I installed a set 22" wheels on my titan they look sharp. I get a lot of thumbs up. Still trying to decide on the 4 piece billet grill.

I have 20x9 MB chrome with Nitto Terra Grappler 305/50R-20's. I think they are the a perfect compromise between ride, handling, off-roadability and a little 'bling'

I tried getting an answer to my question in another thread but no one responded... If I put some 20's on the car with 305/50/20 tires, do I have to do any sort of suspension mods? Or do I put them on and go?
