Annoying Low Pressure Light

I recently blew a tire and the low tire pressure alarm did its job (Not me fighting to keep truck wasn't a hint something was wrong !!!) Anyway, now the stupid little light is locked in. I tried disconnecting battery hoping it would reset computer but must have flash memory modules. Can this thing be reset by the owner??? I live two hours from nearest dealer. ANy help out there???

You must go into the dealer and have them run a scan tool on it to reset it.

I think I read a thread here where someone over inflated the tire to get the light to shut off and then lowered the pressure back down. Not sure if it really works but it could save you a trip to the dealer.

I lower my tire pressure when driving on the beach (15-20 psi), so the alarm comes in. After I re-inflate back to normal psi sometimes it takes at least a half hour of driving for it to clear. I think I read somewhere that the pressure sensors don't work so well at low speeds, so it takes a while at highway speeds for it to clear. Just my two cents worth.

yeah that sensor is like my wife sometimes, undecisive but useful j/k hunny if you see this!!! anyways, i had the light come on the other day because of a screw in my tire deflating the tire. i screwed the screw in a bit more to seal the hole a little better, filled the tire up with some air and the light went off in less than a minute. other times i've inflated the tires when low and the light would take like 20 minutes to go off, weird...

My light came on for the first time the other day also. I checked all the tires and sure enough one of them was at 30 psi. couldn't see anything so I just ifnlated and the light went out. I didn't even have to shut the truck off.
So today as I'm putting gas in I look down and see a screw in my tire. I guess the light might be good for something afterall. ( i did check all the visable parts of the tires when the light came on, must have been on the bottom)
