Will 17x8 with 0 offset and 4-1/2" backspacing fit?
I found a set of wheels I like but before I buy I want to make sure they'll fit. They are 17x8 with 0-offset and 4-1/2" backspacing. I will be running 285 or 295/70-17's. I don't know the numbers on the stock wheels so can you tell me if this combo work? I appreciate everyones help. Thanks!
I cant help ya on that but, Will you be selling those offroad wheels? I may be interested
Yeah, I don't need anything else collecting dust in my garage, if you know what I mean. I'll unload them with the stock tires (there's probably 10,000 miles left on the 285/70-17 Rugged Trails) for next to nothing, just to get rid of them. I have some wheels to return/exchange at 4 Wheel Parts and will know later today when I'll be getting the new ones.
I'm running that offset with some AR wheels on a 2wd with PRG and the stock tire size and they are fine. They push out a bit from stock, but other than that I couldn't imagine any problems with the OR package on a 4wd JMO. AR Mojave Beadlocks (pics)

Thanks for the info CharlienoX. My Crew Cab is a 4x2, but I do have the Offroad and PRG kit. I went ahead and ordered the rims. They should be in some time this week, although I doubt I'll be able to pick them up until the weekend. I'll post pics after I get them mounted and balanced. Peace.
Well, I looked at the link you posted and wouldn't ya know those are the wheels I just ordered! I think I'm 'gonna go with a mud terrain if I can find one, otherwise its between the BFG AT's (285/75-17) and Nitto Terra Grapplers (295/70-17).
Keep in mind that some wheels will not clear the outside edge of the caliper mounting bracket. I know mine didn't (I had to do some modifying.) I thought it was as simple as matching up offset and bolt pattern and so I bought some on ebay. Mine turned out alright though I only had to grind down about 1/8 of an inch.

I have the Mojave Beadlocks ordered and decided to go with the BFG 285/70-17 MT's. It seems I'll need to order those also, as the cheapest places around here don't keep them in stock. I sure would like to have them on the truck this weekend!
Big O had to order my tires from Ontario (CAlifornia)...285-70-17 in AT KO. The MT's are probably a similar situation. I don't think I would want to go with a MT on a 2wd, but that's just me.

I'm a stones throw from the Big O in Ontario as I write this. I'll have to check their price. In the same shopping center is America's Tire, who quoted me $210 or so each on the mudder.
I like the MT's on 2wd trucks. Around here its pretty much the norm. Most 2wd's out here are prerunner style with mudders.
I see...I stuck with the AT's for mileage and street performance. The MT's should do okay with mileage, at least they would be better than swampers or the like
