BFG Rugged Trails 35 psi max.!!!

Anyone every noticed on the sidewall of the the stock offroad tires the max inflation pressure is 35 psi? I've been running 38 since I got it. Seems pretty low to me.

Yep! I saw that and that sux. I run about 38-40 in mine because I hate it when they start bulging on the sides at 35 & under.

Same here......10% over =38.5 PSI.......rides fine and still smooth!

You have to remember there just P rated tires (passenger) not the LT's.

So is the stock tire the correct tire for a 4 x 4 with Big Tow???? Can it handle any tongue weight loads from a trailer or loads from a full bed of cargo? It sounds under-rated for towing and loads.

I just hauled a load of sand in my truck and they were fine, you might look at the sidewall to see what the max loads are for the tire, but it would be nowhere near what a light truck tire would be. When mine ware out I'm going with the BFG All-Terrains which are rated as an LT.

I went ahead a looked at the specs on the two tires
BGF Rugged Trail P28570r17 max load 2575@35PSI
BFG All Terrain KO's LT28570r17 max load 3195@65PSI
