Terra-Grapplers with a side order of PRG

back-order? i just got my terra-grapplers 295/70/17 on 6/3/05. ordered them last friday. (3) tires came from dallas and (1) came from someplace in ohio. took a week but my salesman (mark) at discount tire on westheimer here in houston, he hooked me up with a minimun amount of hassle. and not a moment too soon. the old BFG's where a smooth as my baby boy's behind. my two day review goes as follows, GOD IT'S GREAT TO HAVE NEW TIRES, the aren't as big as i thought they might be and it hasn't rained yet, but they gotta be better than slicks! the combo with grego's leveling plate's is a most rightuous setup.
hey greg, you never mentioned my half shaft might slide out........ no problemo, a smooth quarter twist we got re-sealed and we where back in place. i can't wait to get some 305's next year......if somebody will get off their dead as@%s and make some. in my business world, if i had someone who was in charge of product speculation or scheduling, and they didn't see this 17" tire thing coming. heads would roll.......................................

Congrats on the Nittos and te PRG kit! I love my PRG kits, and am anxiously awaiting the time when I can upgrade to the Terra Grapplers. Just have to wait a few more months of wear on the BFG Crappy Trails.

Great choice on leveling kit and tires... got a few questions.

1. Do the New tires look bigger than the oem BFG?
2. Are the New tires wider?
3. Do you think they could fit without the PRG kit?
4. How is the ride compared to oem tires?

THX in advance and one last thig... PICTURES PLEASE

1. Do the New tires look bigger than the oem BFG? I know mine are bigger due to the size I have.

2. Are the New tires wider? I would say that they are with the size I have.

3. Do you think they could fit without the PRG kit? Mine fit without PRG kit.

4. How is the ride compared to oem tires? Ride is a bit stiffer but the handling is alot better.

Hey K-MU,

I have the nittos with no lift and I must say, I definitely love them. They make the truck look more aggressive. The only difference is that I have the nittos 305/55/R20.

The Nitto Terra Grapplers have a wider tread than the BFG's, so yes they look/are bigger.

To K-mu

1. they do look a little bigger, it's no 305 so don't get your hopes up. it's also a different shape tire. it seems like it's more square to the ground. the bfg's had that big round edge. (felt like i was drivin on airplane tires). 2. lil'bit wider, they do come to the edge of the well. 3. yes, i think they would. i'm no tire pro (although i play one on TV) but i bet a 305 depending on the series could go up in there. greg would be the man to ask. 4. ride is superior. heck man, i got tread now. pictures soon.......
