Question about tire sensors

If I upgraded my 18's to 22's I know the tire pressures would be different right? And is there a way to get the pressure sensors calibrated or the computer to know that there are different presures in the tire? I want to keep my monitor system but also want bigger rims.

There may or may not be much difference in pressures. It depends on which tires you use. The sensors are set to alarm at 28PSI or lower. I don't think they can be changed to any other level. But they will still work fine, unless you are going to use a tire that requires normal pressure below 28, which is highly unlikely.

Going up to a different size tire will allow you to still use your tire sensors. Just be sure to get a rim that allows for the OEM sensors. I went up from the stock 18's to 20's and have not had any issues.

Also, if for some reason you have problems after installing the OEM sensors on your wheels, just take it to the dealership and they can recalibrate your sensors.
