Nitto Mud Grapplers

Anyone running these on road?

I'm about to put a 6" Pro Comp lift on my Titan and I'm wondering if they're at least decent on road, since I can get these for about $30-50 less per tire than the Terra Grapplers.

Anyhow if anyone is running them please comment on how the ride, how the noise is, how tread life is, how they balance, etc. I've run Thornbirds in the past and I don't want anything even remotely close to those on road, I like the looks of the Mud Grapplers but that's it, my Titan will never see anything serious off road, that's what my Jeep is for.

FWIW, I'm looking at the 35x12.50R20's for my truck.

might be a silly question, but why are you lifting your truck and/or putting mud tires on it? if you are not planning to go off-road, it seems to be somewhat out of the ordinary to get mud tires and a lift, a 6" lift at that.

Ahh, because my Titan has been hit 3 times now while parked and I'm tired of having to repaint it over minor parking lot run ins.

The doors on this truck really are so weak it's ridiculous, ANY minor bump and you'll be reskinning the doors.

If it wasn't for that I would have kept it stock.

I should also mention I own an off road business, my Titan is my tow rig to get my Jeep to the trails, lifting it will also be great advertising for my company. Lifting it has been on the back of my mind since purchasing it specifically for advertising for the company since I hardly ever drive my Jeep around town; due to my latest parking lot run in I've decided to do it. My Titan sees an occasional dirt road here and there with the trailer, and if my Jeep ever breaks down it is the recovery vehicle, but I could care less about off road performance right now, I want a good on road tire that's also good in the snow.

Now in regards to the tires I'd love to go with the Open Country A/T's or the Tera Grapplers since my primary concern is on road drivability, but if the Mud Grappler's are still a decent tire on road I'll go with them since they're cheaper. I would assume with Nitto making them they should still drive decent, but I haven't talked to anyone who's running them on road yet.

I have Mud Grapplers

RedRock4x4: I have the Mud Grapplers in 37x12.50x20 on my Titan, I love them...I've only had them on for a week but the ride is fine. A little hum but they are an aggressive tire. Not as bad as a Swamper, I had TSLs on a Jeep and I couldn't talk on the cell phone. If you are worried about the slight hum, go with the Toyo OpenCountry M/T, they look aggressive but not as much as the Mud Grappler and they are quiet...People are getting a good 40,000+ miles on the Mud Grapplers down here in FL.

Seriously??

If that's the case I'll order me up a set right now. I figured they'd be a good street compound coming from Nitto, I know they don't offer much traction off road out here on the rocks in comparison to the MT/R's, Irok's, Krawlers, etc, so I figured they'd be pretty good on road, but that's impressive.

They are a radial tire, so they should last...
Swampers and such are bias, much softer.
