Continential Conti-Trac vs. Goodyear Wrangler SR-A

I'm buying tires today. I can get Conti's for $440 all in, but the Goodyears will run me $600+

Is it worth the difference? Do any of you have any experience with the continental's?

Thanks

They both stink. Get the Michelin Cross Terrain SUV in 265-70-18 or the BFG A/T in 285-65/18. Both are tons better than either of the stock crap in terms of wear, ride, traction wet and dry, comfort, handling, etc.

BTW, Contis come stock on the Armada, and they stink. You can buy mine if you want.

I only got 15k out of the SR-A's. The Conti's are only a little better. Invest in somthing that you can get some miles out of. I got BFG TA KO's. They cost more but come with a 50K warranty.
Good Luck

do NOT get the Contis'

Wife has the Armada and they suck. Ride is rigid, cornering stinks and they will be on the wear bars by 15k miles. I am going Michelins next month when it will be time to replace them, unless I find some duelers or something I like better. Want to keep my wifes ride less trucky. I just got the Nitto Terra Grapplers for my Titan and love em. Also have heard nothing but praises for the TA KO's which were my second choice. Good luck!

OK, taking advice and getting the BFG's. Gawd, they cost a grand though! I guess you get what you pay for.

Thanks

Everything ever read, heard and said about them points to a wise choice. Besides, you'd spend that much having to replace the conti's three times for as long as the bfg's should last. If you cold, provide a post with your thoughts on the ride etc... I don't know if we need or want a full AT on the wifes SUV, (other option is Michelen cross terrain suv) but if they ride nice and decently quiet I may get them instead. Cheers!

Put the BFG's on and drove it about 350 miles. They run good down the road, and they look F-ing awesome on the Titan. Glad I spent the extra$.

Thanks
