Refinishing my wheels with...

Herculiner (or something similar). What do you think? My XD wheels look like crap and are pitting, so instead of just ditching them, I was thinking of trying something like Herculiner. I was going to paint them, but I've heard mixed results, and I'd like to powder coat them, but I really don't want to remove the tires from the wheel if I can help it. Anyone have any experience with this stuff in terms of its application and how well it holds up? Thanks.

I've heard XIM bonder works very well for wheels and holds up well too.

I've seen on some of the Xterra forums where they are using the dupilcolor spray on liner. Calling it the "stealth mod".

Re: Refinishing my wheels with...

You don't HAVE to remove the tires......however it's prolly best to. You just need to tape it all off during the rattle can process.

Try the duplicolor way first. Clean the wheel very well, and scuff the surface good to let the primer and paint stick good.
