Disable the low tire pressure light

Does anyone out there know how to disable the low tire pressure light? I bought new wheels and tires, but didn't use the sensor value stems because they didn't fit properly on the new wheels.

Re: Disable the low tire pressure light

I dont think that you can but if you do find a way let us all know. I dont really like the air sensors because everytime it gets cold they come on and the air isnt any lower than the day before.

Re: Disable the low tire pressure light

my light went on yesterday and all the tires were at 35psi. sometimes it goes off at 30psi and if you ask me I dont think it does that much good since it always goes off at different pressures.

Can't, (unless removing the bulb), but it doesn't come on for about 45 minutes after starting the truck, does it? Mine doesn't, sometimes taking an hour or more. Unless I'm on a longer trip it never comes on.

That happened to me last week! I had just had a flat repaired a few days before and thought the plug wasn't holding but I just pumped all the tires up and the light went away must have been the sudden temp change as it hasn't happened again in a week.

The light comes on right when I start the truck. It will stay on forever since the sensors are not in the new wheels I bought. I thought there might be some sort of sequence to disable the light. Might have to take it to the dealership.

Re: Disable the low tire pressure light

thats weird...when I had my wheels chromed, I lost the sensors and didnt care too much...my light never came on and they never gave me a problem...before when I had the sensors in my wheels it went off maybe twice cuz I had a hole in my rear tire (off the lot) Nissan patched it and again only went off when the temp dropped...I had nissan put new sensors (for free) cuz they had been giving me the run around bout brakes and ac and such but just to let u know....when I switched out the wheels....WITHOUT sensors...nothing happened...I never got a light...would it matter that I got the 04 LE? I dunno...

I'm in the same boat - no sensors. My light does not come on for about 45 minutes to an hour. This has been discussed on here before, and several without sensors had the same result. Yours is the first I've heard of that the light comes on immediately when there are no sensors. See #11 above.

And here: What if I don't run press. sensors?
