285/65-18 (Stock LE suspension)

Anyone running a 285/65-18 on the OE LE model KC 18x8" rims to replace those aparently garbage 265/70-18 Goodyear Wrangler SR-A's?

I'm going with the BFG ATs (285/65-18). Closest match I could find that BGF has the AT in.

Good to see ya here bud, and congrats on the new ride! This is a great forum, you should get some good feedback, but clearly this place has a slower pace than our other corner of the web...

I havent done it yet but Ima do the same with my KC LE as well...the only thing is supposadly BFG doesnt have anymore of those tires out...the companies who do have em have had em all year and wanna get rid of em is what BFG is telling me...they said after christmas this year they should have finished making a new batch and then theyll have new tires out to sell...

Well, Ive had mine for 15000 miles and they are ALL BALD...I would understand MAYBE if the back ones were bald but all 4 are bald...I never really got that good of traction either...I hear that they are just cheap tires though just with the Goodyear name (not really Goodyears) but thats just what I hear I dont know if its true...

Toe is going to primarily effect just the inner edge, not the entire contact patch...

Keep in mind, I think I only got about 1,000 miles on mine before the dealer switched me to the 17" set up, and I swear I could see diminished tread in just those few miles.

I was thinking there was something wrong with my truck also, but I posted a post here about our tires and most people with the Goodyears make it to about the same...the most some got out of em was like 22K miles...

You sure about that cheif. If you have toe in the outter edge will suffer the affects the most.

Lots of guys have them and love them. Good tire and same diameter as stock.

Yes, toe out, inner edge screwed, toe in outer edge screwed, key being edges not entire contact patch...

Welllllll, not so sure about the mule part...

Seriously, you will hate them in the snow. If it were MY GIRL {not the truck} she would not be running them up there.
