2 questions before I pull the trigger

I'm trying to talk the Les Schwab guy into installing the PRG levelling kit for me, haven't decided if I'm going 2" or the mini-lift. They told me at first that they will only istall the lifts that they have been set up with locally.....I'm working on that. But before I buy the 35X1250/17 Toyo OC MTs, does anyone know if a 2" levelling kit is enough clearance for these tires. Schwabby says absolutely, but I'd like to hear it from anyone who has done the kit and gone to these tires.
Also, I tow a 6500 lb trailer spring, summer and fall. Will going to 35s change my gearing ratio? Will it affect towing in a bad way?

Re: 2 questions before I pull the trigger

It depends on the wheel mostly. I have my 33x12.5x17 Mud Terrains on a 17x10 with 0 offset. There still is at least an inch between the tire and the rear of the fender will. All I have is the PRG Kit. I had them mount up the tires I was interested in and put them on the vehicle to make sure they will clear. I suggest you do the same.

I have the stock 17" wheels. That's a good idea, I'll have them mount them up to check clearance first. Thanks.

Coach I don’t know, but I’m rubbing with 2.5/1 & 305/55/20’s, I think offset is your deciding factor.

CoachBoone, if you dont care, post what you find out about this setup. Im interested in knowing if I would be able to clear the 35" toyo m/t's also.

Well, I took her up to Les Schwab at lunch for a "dry fit". They put one 35" Toyo MT on the front, lowered the truck back to the ground and all the guys came over and drooled. It was beautiful on the beast, but then we had work to do. Since my 2" PRG kit won't be here until Friday, we had to visualize how the truck was going to sit on them once we get her leveled. The only issue up front was on left turns the wheel bumps against the mud flap. We toyed around with okay, if we shave a little here, notch there......
Then he switched it to the rear wheel and there's where we had problems. There was maybe 3/4" clearance against the sidewall, and if you hit a bump or flex, you're going to tear up the tires. As much as we loved the way they looked on the chrome wheels he had it on, 35s just aren't going to work on an unlifted Titan. I'm going back next week to level and put the 33s on new 18" wheels, haven't picked those out yet. Just wanted to let you know about the 35 versus 33s.
When they fired her up in the bay to test the wheel turning, all the guys there just smiled when the Banks growled. Got tons of compliments on her.

Dad, that is not cool we need the 35s.

Re: 2 questions before I pull the trigger

CoachBoone, you dont think the 1" or 2" block in the rear would be enough to make it work?
