Has anyone tried these Toyos?

or has anyone tried this size? Since our stock size 265/70/18's only have a few choices, I found that 305/60/18's are only .63% off and Toyo has this tire available.

Re: Has anyone tried these Toyos?

Have not tried them since I'm still waiting for my Titan to be delivered. However those are the ones I intend to use as a highway tire. I believe a wider rim will be required ( 9" ) or at least recommended.

Stock 265/70/18 are 32.61 OD x 10.74 wide; Toyo Proxes S/T 305/60/18 are 32.4 OD x 12.0 wide. At 60 mph indicated the actual will be 59.19 mph.

Speed Rating V Tread Rating 420AA Max Load Rating 3086 lbs
I've heard good things about them on other forums.

I see alot of Armadas running the Proxes ST. The owner I talked to like the ride quality.

Can you post a pic of them on your truck. How are they holding up? Better than the 15k I got out of my stock tires???

Re: Has anyone tried these Toyos?

Sorry to butt in but I just put these on last week and I cannot believe how smooth they are! Everyone said these MTs ride great, but I didn't know they'd be so smooth and so damn quiet even on the freeway. 'course I got the Banks, so my ears have a high noise tolerance as it is.

Re: Has anyone tried these Toyos?

I just got off the phone with my guy at Discount Tire. He can get me all 5 All In All Done for 998.38 with cert's and all. He has to 2step them from another vendor, but he is cheaper than 1010 and the other vendor directly. If you have aDiscount Tire or Amercian Tire near you, I would be calling. I just replaced mine with the badyears, and the restocking fee is too much to warrant swapping them out now. I will just get them in May when these are worn out. They look great. Wish I had known about them when I went to get these. 400 bucks more and I could have had a tire I was happy with instead of a band-aid.
