Question prg 2.5 and biggest tires?

Getting ready to install the 2.5 level kit on my 05 2WD KC. Right now I have the 265/70/18 GoodYears. What is the largest tire I can run without having any rubbing issues. I want to upgrade wheels and tires. What about the offset of the new rims? Reccomendations on a wheel tire combination? I use my Tiatan to and from work half highway half city with no towing but always hauling stuff on the weekends nothing over 500 lbs. I have so many questions help please!!

Re: prg 2.5 and biggest tires?

I found this on Prg's web site. Can anyone confirm this?

Q: How big a tire can I put on my Titan if I install the PRG leveling kit?

GREG SAYS: Well, you can fit 33" tires even without a leveling kit. With installation of the PRG kit, most 35" tires mounted on a stock or factory wheel will clear without rubbing or with only very minor rubbing (however if you have the factory mudflaps you'll most likely need to remove them). What determines if you'll have rubbing is the wheel offset. Contrary to popular belief, the farther the tire sticks out the more chance you'll have of rubbing. This is because when you turn the tire swings in an arc. Rubbing occurs when the rear of the tire hits the inner fender liner. The more positive offset you have the bigger the arc the tire swings and the more likely it is to rub. Your best bet is to work with your tire and rim dealer to get a combination that fits properly.

Come on guys how bout some input.
