Interestingn find when installing aftermarket rims.....
Well guys recently I installed some 22" rims on the titan and had gotten my hands on 4 tire pressure sensors. Alas the sensors did not sit correctly in the rim and they could not be used. Since this was the case I was content to look at the low tire pressure light until I figured a way around it.
After installing the 22's I started up my truck and..........no low tire pressure light....I was confused, thinking that atleast it would come on saying I had no sensors...but it didn't. Its been 200 miles now with no light on. Needless to say i'm . The only bad part is it won't tell me when my tires are low but there is no light.
So my question would be to anyone that changed to aftermarket rims without sensors........did you get a light?
Re: Interestingn find when installing aftermarket rims.....
Looks like you ran into some unexpected GoodLuck!!!
Never heard this one before. It's possible the system on your truck never worked at all. Did the low pressure warning light ever come on with the stock rims???
Re: Interestingn find when installing aftermarket rims.....
na, its worked like a charm before, caught a few flats and the like, and acutally it just recently told me one of my stock tires was low right before I changed out the rims.
I refilled up the low tire and it went off after a few minutes like normal.

Every where I drive is a long drive........the drive to work alone is an hour........and as stated above i've had about 200......well now that I think about it almost 300 miles since the rim change
Re: Interestingn find when installing aftermarket rims.....
I read somewhere on here that someone thought that all titans have the tire pressure monitoring ability just some don't have sensors. And this could be why i'm not throwing a light now.

BTW, if there are no sensors present, then the audible alarm will not sound and the light generally takes anywhere from 30-75 miles to go off.

That's not true. The BUZZER will not sound if you remove the sensors. But there are several people on here, myself included, that have removed the sensors and regularly encounter the LIGHT ONLY after about 45 miles of constant driving.
If yours is not lighting up at all, ever, after removing your sensors, you are the first that I have heard of that happening. Consider yourself lucky.

is it 45 minutes like you posted in ur first post or 45 miles as you posted in this one? there is a big difference, I drive an hour to work but its only like 30 miles one way.....

the way I understood what the mod said is that if it does turn on it will turn off after driving that much...I chaged out the stock wheels when sending my 6 spokes to chrome and had some cheaper 17" rims on for about a month and my light nor buzzer ever went off...after reading that post that I posted...I figured it was normal...now that I hear ur post I still think its normal...
