It's been a year since I installed the Stillen Big Brake kit and I had put on about 15K miles on the brake set. I am happy to report that the brakes still look almost brand new and performing flawlessly. None of the terrible brake problems I had the first 3K miles I owned the Titan. There's also less brake dust than the OE set. Here's some pics I took while swapping wheels for the track:
Looks nice. The caliper looks like it does not cover the entire surface of the rotor by the wear marks. Is there a reason for that (stays cooler or something)? Or was it made like that just to have a big rotor look? I was thinking about a brake upgrade, but could not find more than the 2 kits Stillen sells. Anyone else have this kit or a different brake kit?

I was told (and researched it out to be true physics) that the further out from the center, there's more disc surface to be grabbed by the pads. . There's also more holding leverage (torque) as the pads grip further away from the center. This is the rationale behind the larger diameter rotors.
Looking good gr8,
I bet that pig stops pretty nice with those shoes.
And once you get that truck finally dialed in and finish up your mods, you'll need all the stopping power you can get!!
You're right buddy. That's exactly my mind set. To know I can stop before I go piggin' out to go fast.
I like the fact that the rotors are plated and don't rust. I put the Stillen sport rotors on the rears at the same time I put on the big brakes. The sport rotors are drilled/slotted but aren't plated and are of course rusting.

WOW those look small on those 22's (er, ahh E. Smith's) LOOKS very nice!!!!
I am thinking with my 81 lbs.(each without rims) tires I should look into a brake upgrade. I really like the other kit stillen sells. $3500!!!! Anyone have those? I tried to do a search and came up with nothing. I will beat on my new factory upgraded (recall) system before I do that. Baer made a nice upgrade kit for my wifes Escalade, they are big! You need a 20" rim just to clear the rotor's. It made a big difference with her 23's... I mean M.J.'s

THANKS GREG!
Hey guys, thanks for the positive feedback on our brake kit. I have the same "monster" brakes on my titan and I thought you guys might find it interesting that I actually had to change my rear pads before I've replaced a set of front pads. (rear brakes are still factory, haven't had a chance to put on my Stillen cross-drilled and slotted rotors yet)
