Main benefit (as you stated) is slower loss of gas from inside tire
|
Actually, thats BS, and I said so in an earlier post. Oxygen diffuses more slowly through the tire than nitrogen because it hase a larger molecule size. The trace gases, as stated earlier, are insignificant. A few degrees in temperature has a much greater effect on pressure than having ALL the trace gases leak out(which will never happen anyways).

i only use nitrogen in aircraft tires because nitrogen doesnt expand at altitude

Again, thats false. Check your Universal gas laws and you wil see you are wrong. See my previous post about why aircraft use nitrogen from "experts".
The one, AND ONLY advantage to nitrogen is it's dry. Air from an air compressor may or may not be, depending on how big of a pile it is. Having said that, you could put the wettest air you can muster in your tires and you are not gonna see a damn bit of difference. This subject is ridiculous and clouded with a bunch of BS and mindless lemmings, and I'm finished with it. If you are thinking of spending even a dime on this ridiculousness, take that money and feed a hungry child from ethiopia or something and do the world a favor instead of throwing it out the window.

If it's free it's free, but that doesn't make any difference to it's insignificance. Using that as selling point has about as much to do with the quality of service as when your tire "expert" took a **** last and whether or not he wiped with his left hand or his right.
