Black Moto Metal 951's on a black truck???
Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of you have the black 951's on a black truck. I wanted to see what the combo would look like. I've seen the chrome ones and love it. Thanks! |

THAT truck looks BADAZZ! With the "all black" theme, that's the way to go. If you want a little stainless/chrome for a dressier look, probably go with the chromers. But that looks awesome!

 I wish the black 951s looked like this instead. It's just not cost effective to get the chrome ones and have the centers painted or powder coated. Sorry for the crude photochop

I once saw some rims that had a black lip but were chrome in the middle. Kinda like the rims rod_b posted, but with a reverse color scheme. I think those would look nice on your black truck. The only problem, I saw them once and can't seem to find them again. Maybe you guys know where to get them.

Yah Rod... no problem about the picture it still looks good for a reference point of view. I really like the black centers with the chrome "rim" look....
Wow that discounted wheel page said 400 PER WHEEL!!! I think.... There is a local shop that does powerdercoating... I wonder what they'd charge? |

Yeah I plan on getting a set of OR wheels powdercoated black for winter tires I'm hoping its under 50 per wheel

Hey Mopar,
Don't waste your time on Powdercoat. You probably remember me from trying to sell my Moto Metal 951's ( Still trying ) . I bought a set of OR wheels and then got Duplicolor Universal black which is really a little darker than smoke with gold metallic. I cleaned and scuffed the oem OR wheel then put on some primer and applied the Universal Black basecoat in two coats and then used the Duplicolor wheel specific clear coat to apply 4 coats of clear. I was in a rush so I did'nt bother to use rubbing compound to finish up just yet. They turned out beautiful. I took the Moto Metals off and left them for consignment and put a set of Cooper STT's in a 33/12.5r17. Other people at the R1 convention at Deals Gap loved the things more than me and my neighbor has accused me of having an assault vehicle in a residential neighborhood. These are interim until I get a set of 17x9 GearAlloy 711mb's. Check it out

wow. those looks pretty nice. you probably only spent $10-20 on supplies? i was looking at either aftermarket black wheels or powdercoating the stockers but these looks like a viable option. thanks for the picture.
