My tire/wheel choice

Ok, I (think) I've decided on a set of wheels/tires for the titan. Due to the price of 18" tires I've just decided to drop down to the 17's and wrap them with some Kumho KL78 (285-70-r17) for the same price as the KL78 325-60-r18 I wanted.

I'd like my wheels to stick out a tad so I think i'm going with the 17x8.5-139.7 with a -6mm offset. According to the calcs it looks like it will give me 25 mm more clearance on the inside and extend 37mm more. Does anyone see any problems with this before I hit the "buy" button? Does anyone have any pics of the mb razors? The people that have them, do you like the looks? Are they fairly easy to keep clean? Thanks!!

Should I go with the -6mm offset?

Thanks for the heads up. I looked under my wheel well and there really isn't a lot of room towards the truck especially when you're going with a larger rim.

Re: My tire/wheel choice

I have those wheels and i really like them. I do like the way they stick out. Im guessing yours would stick out more compared to mine in the picture because your running a wider tire.
now i dont know if im running the same offset though because my invoice says 17x8.5 6-139.7 25mm

Those look nice! With the revos I see. Do you have any pics from the side of the truck?

With 8.5" rims and a +25mm offset your wheels should have split the extra half inch in rim width equally, compared to the OEM 8" rim with +25mm offset, (because the offset is the same).

So they should stick in a 1/4" more and out 1/4" more. This really confuses me, since at the closest point of rubbing on my Titan, (the knuckle), there is around an inch of clearance, (and even more to the swaybar, as you described in another thread as your rub point).

If my local DT has that rim in stock I'm going to have them put one on, since I need to have my tires rotated anyway within the next week or so.

Of course mine has a small lift, but there has to be more than 1/4" clearance on stock Titans, right?

One more thing, did you buy the hub centric, 17X8.5 6-139.7HC25MM or the lug centric, 17X8.5 6-139.7 25MM? Thanks.

Edit:
Had the MB Razors, in the 17X8.5 6-139.7 25MM size, on my Titan today, and the fit with plenty of room. Technician stated "you have as much clearance as your rims".
