Anyone have pics of BFG A/T KO 305/65/18 installed ???

I'm thinking of buying the new size considering it's due out this September. In fact I see Discount Tire is already selling the tire for over $300 per tire.

I'm just curious to see how they look on our Titan as opposed to the 285/65/18's..

Thanks.

Not me, but at $100 more per tire, go for LT315/70/17

The BFG AT KO LT305/65/18 are almost $100 a piece more than the LT285/65/18.

For $100 more per tire they are almost exactly 1" greater in diameter, so lift is only 1/2". They are also roughly 1/2" wider than the 285/65/18.

Whereas, the BFG AT KO LT315/70/17 are slightly less than the cheaper of the 18s but 2" greater diameter, and 12" wide for some reason. Oh, but you need a PRG level kit to fit them and the off road pkg. alloys.

But with that $400+ savings over the 305s, you can pay for a PRG level kit and some off road pkg. rims if you're patient on the rims.

I have the PRG leveling kit installed............2" in front and 2.5" in the back I think with the stock 18" rims. DO you think the 305/65 will fit without any modifications?

Could you justify the extra $100 per tire for the beefier look or stick with the 285's?

I don't know for sure, but I'd almost bet the 305s 18s would fit w/o a level kit, on stock rims.

$400 more, that's a tough one for only an inch more diameter. But depends on your disposble income, and other mods you want for your Titan.

I have about a 3" lift, and sometimes I think my BFG AT KO LT285/70/17 (33"), look too small, and wish I'd gone with the LT315/70/17 (34.5"). But other times I like the fact I have a lot more clearance since I like to off road at moderate speeds, and it makes it look more lifted as well with more inner fender showing.

Also better fuel economy with lighter tires/rims due to less unsprung weight and less rotational mass.

I just checked the discount tire website and they're not showing anything for 305/65/18. When did you last see them listed?

You need to go to discounttire.com not discounttiresdirect.com and select California, then at least San Diego, and Folsom work:
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/sea...05&ar=65&rd=18

Strange - the price just dropped $21 per tire since my last post and there is also a $50 rebate when buying a set of 4.

I don't understand why they won't show them available for Idaho residence.

Just call your local store. They are brand new but are supposed to be available in Sept.

Yeah I guess I'll run down to Big O tires and see if they can get them.
Thanks.

Re: Anyone have pics of BFG A/T KO 305/65/18 installed ???

Did anyone else notice on BFG website the for the 305/65/18 that they recommend a rim range between 8.5"-11". Our stockers are only 8" wide.....problem?

Some people have put 325/60/18's on without issues so they should be fine.

Yeah, but that size has a recommended rim width of 8"-11"
