Tire Pro Advice Needed.

I'm wanting to get some beefier tires for my stock steelies. Wheel size is 17 x 7.5.

Anyone here beefed their stock steelies up?

I have PRG's 2.5" front lift so I have room to grow.

I'm not sure exactly what my options are. Thanks in advance for your advice.

A lot of people are running BFG AT KO in the LT315/70/17 (34.5 x 12 x17) on those and the off road 17 x 7.5 +30mm offset rim with just PRG level kits.

About 10 pounds more than the BFG AT KO LT285/70/17 (32.8 x11.5), so for me to change to 315s it's like tossing 400 lbs. into the truck bed as far as gas mileage. With your XE tires which are fairly small right? - it would be even worse.

Sounds like a LT285/70/17 would be the way to go then.

I wish I could get a taller tire to help fill in the wheel well a little more, but it sounds like that would require a larger rim.

Thanks, swarren1.

If you don't tow or haul big loads, or off road hard, even the 8 ply D rated BFG AT KO LT285/70/17 might be overkill. Don't get me wrong. I like mine, they are very quite, look good, big pot holes are not a worry at all, but the potential for real fuel savings, and higher acceleration performance of the 12 pound lighter Revo AT should be considered.
BFGoodrich All Terrain A/T KO LT285/70/QR17 D Q=99 mph, payload = 3195 lbs. at 65psi,
tread depth = 16/32”, Weight = 55 lbs.
The Revos in the same size are 12 pounds less the the BFG, which is like having 480 pounds less for your Titan to push.
Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo P285/70/TR17 T=118 mph, payload = 2833 lbs. at 44psi,
tread depth =11/32”, Weight = 43 lbs.
Kumhos are another passenger AT in this size.
Kumho Road Venture AT KL-78 P285/70 SR17 S=112 mph, payload = 2832 lbs. at 44psi,
tread depth = 14/32”, Weight = 45lbs.
