Feedback on Firestone Destination AT

I read reviews on tirerack about these tires. Surprised people have time on their hands to actually do those things but I read lots of response saying" I don't know why people saying these tires are loud when driving because they seem quiet to me" and vice versa. Anyways, I want to hear YOUR feedbacks on them. I got a good deal $683 OTD with lifetime road hazard, balance, etc. etc.. so lets hear them.

Re: Feedback on Firestone Destination AT

I got the 265/70R18 Destination LE's about a month ago (1,500 miles). They are pretty quiet, except for a short stretch of new concrete that was put down this summer on the highway causes a noticeable increase in tire noise. They have a good ride on the highway, and have excellent wet traction. I got 4 for $586 out the door. The tirerack reviews are generally pretty accurate. The Firestones are made using the same process as the Bridgestone Duelers, the UNI-T rubber formulation is suppsoed to keep the traction good as the tire wears. My Goodyears had 43,000 on them, and were very slick when the rains started. I am very pleased with the Destination LE's.

Bridgestone owns Firestone, another old line American company taken over by foreigners.

Re: Feedback on Firestone Destination AT

I actually had these on the Silverado I traded in on my Titan. I liked them OK. Yes, they were a bit noisy on some concrete but not bad. I put about 30 k on them and they were starting to wear. I figured I had another 10k in them. I wasn't real good with rotations, though.
Cheers, Lee S.
