Tire Question

Searched the forums, but couldn't find an answer to this...

It's about time to replace my OEM Bridgestone Dueller's on my non-OR 4x4 XE Titan. It currently has 245/75SR17 size tires on the oem rims. Can I fit a little taller tires on this rim? Don't care so much about width, but I'd like them to look meatier and taller. Can this be done, or do I have to stick with the same size I have now without upgrading my rims?

Thanks for the help...

Re: Tire Question

Ran 285-70-17 bridgestones on my 04se non- off road with no
problems what so ever. It had no lift and just switched the 18"
factory wheels over to 17's. Only difference I noticed was alittle
on the gas mileage. Raised the truck up alittle higher(not very
noticeable) but the wider tread really stands out. Especially with
blackwalls out. Now running same tires on my 06 with 4" prg lift.
Might move up to 295-70-17's nittos. Happy trails.........

They are the bridgestone revos. Nice meaty tread, drives very
smooth.

Re: Tire Question

Anyone know the rim width on my wheels? They're the painted steel oem rims that come on the XE's. The revos say they need rim width of 7.5-9", but I'm thinking my rims are only 7" width. Would the 285/70/17's still fit? If so, I also found these Kumho Road Venture AT KL-78's that are over $50 cheaper per tire. Anyone had any experiece with these?

Re: Tire Question

Purchased in late may, paid 750.00 out the door including all the
lifetime crap.( free this free that). Had 3 holes in rear left in sept.
took it into firestone and was replaced for free. Had to wait 3 days
because of national back order, dont know how it is now. Due a
seach here on revos there are some good pictures of all sizes and
mounts. Live in orlando. Good luck.

P.s. recently several members have bought. Due search to find
various prices and current firestone or discount tire deals.
