I know this topic is posted a thousand times already on this site but was hoping some of you with experience wouldn't mind helping out one more time
I am in the process of putting on some new shoes and cleaning up the look of my truck. First of all, the Titan is a 2006 Crew Cab SE 4x4 with Off-Road package and a PRG 2" mini-lift kit. After a few weeks of research and evaluation, I want to go with 18" wheels and all terrain tires as big as I can get without major rubbing. I know that fitment/rubbing depends on both the wheel and tire selection as a whole and after reading a bunch of posts, using a few wheel-sizing calculators and talking to a couple folks, I think I may have found a working combination.
The wheels are Eagle Alloys, 18x8, with 5.014 backspacing and +14 mm offset. Tires between 33's and 35's are hard to find but I know BFG makes some LT305/65R18/E K/O's (33.7" dia, 12.2" width). I have always liked the BFG's on/off road performance, low noise and long life.
Those wheels are lug-centric. Any problems with that and could I reuse my old lug nuts?
Those tires are rated as "E". Is this going to be too stiff for my truck? Will the ride on the road suffer greatly?
I appreciate your thoughts and feedback/recommendations. Thanks!
