Just got the Stillen rotors + pads installed by PRG yesterday, and as greg told me, the best value vs performance mod i've done. I already have SS lines via the CST kit, but still didn't feel that the stocks would give me adequate brake performance. However, these pads and rotors give me an added sense of security when it comes to braking. I know it's not going to compare to the big brake kits, but is very suitable until i can get that done. Not sure of the approximate distance, but i know that my truck came from 50 to 0 in a shorter distance than the stockies. I'm not sure how they'd do over the course of repeated hard stops, but I can tell you that there is a noticable difference when compared to stock rotors. For anyone looking to do this upgrade, it's worthwhile and very cost effective.
sounds good. If you don't mind, about how much did this cost? Thanks.

It took me three hours to do front & rear rotors & pads & SS lines. It took me all freakin' day Sunday to do the Deavers & TC shackles. I wish I lived near PRG.
Maybe it's time Greg cloned himself and set up several other shops around the country. We could use some good shops on the East Coast. So how much better is it with the Stillen shoes than the stockers? Have you measured your stops yet? Is there literature on how much sooner it whoas now?
it's a lot better than the stockies, the pads don't have any noticable increase in noise, yet brings her to a stop in less distance. I haven't really measured, nor do i really have a way to, but i guess the best way i can sum it up is that w/ my 20s and 35" tires, it slows down just as well as it did when i had stock tires and rims.
I was told 1 to 1-1/2 hours labor to install the rotors, pads and brake line. It's myregular shop, where I do about 70K a year, so hopefully, they will only charge an hour.
I got the exact same setup as above, with less than 5K on them, from Demondw3. You can't see any real wear, just shine, looks great! Great buy for me.
It arrived Friday, they go on Tuesday! Glad to see this old post brought up, very encouraging results!

I just sold my front stillen rotors/pads combo. I liked them also but wanted more stopping power when towing. If you up grade to the big kit you will have an even bigger smile on your face when you stop.

check out my trucks transformation.
I have the Brembo Gran Tourismo fronts, and the Stillen drilled rears w/their suggested matrix pads. Can you say judder???? It's hard to do the bedding/break in procedures on these applications when all you have is busy streets and highways around. People were looking at me like i was crazy during bedding procedure. LOL I jusy cut my hazards on and gave a parade wave. It's such a gamble on brake upgrades, as they want you to adhere to their break in instructions to the "T" or else.
